Through our services we are facilitating an open and social environment for locals to communicate and share with each other, and on our part we are committed to making it a safe one for our users.

What information do we collect from you?

We do not collect any thing personal such as Social security numbers or credit card numbers from you. As a user you can build your network around where ever you live by providing your zip code and setting your radius limits. However, we collect some personally identifiable information such as name and email address which will be used to register you to the site.

You can always choose not to provide personally identifiable information, even though it might be needed to give you the advantages of some of our Service features. Registration is optional. If you choose not to register, certain sections of our Service may be inaccessible but you will be able to search and browse the Site.

You have complete control of what to share about yourself. All the personal information you provide voluntarily can be modified by accessing your profile through Edit profile on AM website.

Use of Cookies and Other Technologies to Collect Information

This information may be accessed and viewed by other members in AroundMe, as determined by your privacy settings.
We may send you service-related messages based on activity on the site. For instance, if someone in your network sends you a message or recommendation on the site, we may send you an email.
In emails you initiate through AroundMe website, for example a feedback sent to a merchant, we will list your email address and name in the header of the message. Your contact information typically will only be shared if you have disclosed it to the recipient through action on our Site.
In order to invite others to connect with you directly in AroundMe, you may enter their names and email addresses. This information will be used by AroundMe Network to send your invitation and any messages that you may write.
Security
In effort to secure your personal information, access to your data on AroundMe is password-protected. In addition, we use encryption in the transmission of your sensitive personal information between your system and ours, and we use firewalls to help prevent unauthorized persons from gaining access to your personal information.
Legal Disclaimer
It is possible that we may need to disclose personal information when required to do so by law. We will disclose personal information when we have a good-faith belief that it is necessary to comply with a court order, ongoing judicial proceeding, or other legal process served on our company, to protect ourselves or any other person, to exercise our legal rights, or to defend against legal claims.
